Main strategy
Use Team Rocket’s Transceiver to find Team Rocket’s Petrel, then use Petrel to copy Precious Trolley and fill your Bench with Basic Pokémon. This gives you the Beldum and Drilbur you need to evolve into Metang and power up Mega Excadrill ex.
Remember this: Set up Metang → accelerate Energy → power up Excadrill → hit for 330.
Your game set up
Turn 1: Get Drilbur and Beldum onto the Bench. Turn 2: Evolve into Metang and start using Metal Maker. Turn 3+: Keep accelerating Energy until Mega Excadrill ex has 5 Energy and can use Maximum Drilling for 330.
Combos that make it powerful
- ◆Metang + Metal Maker = quickly loads Metal Energy onto your Pokémon.
- ◆Mega Excadrill ex + 5 Energy = 330 damage, enough to KO many big Pokémon.
- ◆Metagross = gives you a strong single-Prize attacker so you don't have to sacrifice Mega Excadrill ex every time.
